Yankari Game Reserve was established in 1956. It is located at Km 40, Bauchi- Gombe High Way Mainamaji village, Bauchi State, north-central Nigeria, West Africa.It is an interesting holiday destination,yet  it is not known by many Nigerians. Yes, I'm guilty too. I got to know about this place last year (2017).

Well, now you know, let me tell you interesting  things about this place and how much we  have missed out. The best part of this place is that it is cost friendly. I know you  are beginning to think " I don't even know what goes on  here and you are telling me it is cost friendly😆. Relax! 😜

So basically, this place is that 'stop once ,get all kind of place '. It is a perfect holiday destination for anyone who is looking forward to spending his/her short or long holiday in a quiet and calm environment.

This Park has warm Springs and wildlife reserves. It occupies a large portion of land, therefore you will have to book for Safari rides to explore the amazing places in the park.  It has animals such as hippopotamus,African buffalo, elephants, giraffe,lions, baboons,monkeys,antelopes,bucks and over 350 species of birds. There are also wells, dwelling caves and rivers for one to see.

Like I said earlier on, this place is very affordable. The accommodation arrangements covers us all, as it  ranges from students hostel to corporate villa. Ok, let me break this down a little. So you are just a  college student with a tight budget but you want to have that time to yourself and enjoy nature. There is good news for you too. With a budget of less than $100 , you can make that dream come true.

Well, on the otherhand ,  if you can afford that luxurious life, you are very much welcome as there are varieties  of rooms for such people. And if  you are just in the middle there; there are options for you too to have  an awesome time of your life.


By the way, if you are a millennial and you are already worried about internet because you saw village in the address. Chill, they got you covered.There is good internet for you to post those cool selfies. Or perhaps, you cannot do without your Tv shows. They got your back too babe as there are TVs in the rooms with DStv connections. And don't you worry about extra pay as this is part of your accommodation fee.

And just in case you don't have that badass camera that can take those HD quality pictures, don't worry; it is  not what it is 🙈😜. These amazing crew have good photographers waiting for you right there. All you need to do is book one when you get there.

About food? Don't allow that bother you  at all! The restaurant and bar makes provision for both local and continental cuisines and drinks. So you are covered in that area too.
